Myanmar Beans & Pulses Association In joint collaboration with OATA or the Overseas Agro Traders Association is celebrating World Pulses Day at The Shangrila on 10th February 2019. World renowned Mumbai based Celebrity Chef and author of 12 books , Asha Khatau, shall be conducting a Cookery Event with demo of pulses being cooked in a unique way. This shall be followed by a seminar on the use of advanced water and seed technology to increase farmers’ income and good farm practices, the areas in which PPP can assist farmers and government, trade policy between India and Burma and suggested initiatives and health benefits of pulses. Speakers at the forum include Mr G. Chandrashekar who is an advisor to the US Dept of Agriculture and an expert on Trade issues. The event ends with a pulses only dinner to be attended by Ministers from Nyipitaw, Yangon and local business leaders.
